The Andhra Pradesh Government in a bid to expand road connectivity to the state’s capital region has embarked on roads expansion drive linking the capital region to other parts of the state.

A 52km four-lane road from Kondlamodu to Addanki-Narkutpalle via Sattenapalle connecting to Hyderabad is under consideration. The estimated cost of the project will be around Rs 485 crore.

A 52-km four-lane stretch road will be built at a cost of Rs.485 crores. Survey has already been undertaken by the Roads and Buildings department. The works for the four-lane road connecting Perecherla and Kondlamodu is nearing completion.

For one to reach the capital region from Hyderabad, roads are being planned touching Sattenapalle-Perecherla-Amaravathi road in Guntur via Thadikonda to Thulluru region. The four laned road will be developed on a PPP mode.

According to R&B estimates, for every 1 km road 15 acres of land has to be acquired. In the next couple of years, road infrastructure would be boosted sorrounding the capital region to reach the capital region from either side of Vijayawada and Guntur within half an hour.
