Indian fans of ‘Sherlock’ and ‘Doctor Who’ will now be able to declare their love of the two popular British series by sporting their merchandise. The merchandise lines have been licensed by BBC Worldwide to BIOWORLD Merchandising (India) Pvt Ltd, India’s licensee for top brands and a subsidiary of the US-based BIOWORLD Merchandising Inc.

Fans will be able to buy official ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Sherlock’ branded clothing and accessories including t-shirts, cardigans, belts, caps and bags with prices starting at Rs 599 at stores like Lifestyle, Crossword, Planet M and Landmark. Fans of the shows can also purchase the products from online retailers Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal, Amazon and Cilory.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support shown by Indian fans for 'Doctor Who' and 'Sherlock'. 'Doctor Who' launched on FX in May and ratings have gone through the roof, and Indian fans of 'Sherlock', which aired on AXN in India, are part of the 'Sherlock' phenomenon that’s taken over the world.

"We are very happy that fans here will be able to wear their love for 'Doctor Who' and 'Sherlock',” Myleeta Aga, senior vice president, general manager India and creative lead Asia at BBC Worldwide, said in a statement. The exclusive apparel collections will be made available from end of July.

“BIOWORLD is excited to partner with BBC Worldwide for two of the most popular brands in India, 'Doctor Who' and 'Sherlock', with the release of official merchandise through its Free Authority brand in fall 2015,” said Mahesh Chaudhary, country head of BIOWORLD Merchandising.
