Ingratitude to parents is a social evil. Vijayaditya Arts of Rajahmundry, in association with the Andhra Pradesh State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation staged a play, `Nalugu Godala Madhya’ at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in on Saturday.

The play, written by Goparaju Vijay and directed by Sripada Kumara Sarma, conveys the message that parents in their old age deserve love and affection from their children. It also highlights the fact that leaving parents to their fate in their old age is an act of ingratitude, which is not good for a progressive society.
The Artistes Association presented the play as part of its monthly cultural programme. Later, Sutti Veerabhadra Rao Memorial Award was presented to stage and TV artiste Goparaju Ramana.
Speaking on the occasion, movie artiste Jayaprakash Reddy underlined the need to promote theatre to enlighten the society. Founder president of Artistes Association P Panduranga Rao, president K Balarama Krishna Murthy, A Suresh, Maruthi Prasanna and others were present. Madugula Ramakrishna conducted the programme.
