Actress Lisa Haydon looked every bit the new age bride when she walked the ramp as the showstopper for ace fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani at the seventh edition of the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015 here. The model-actress, who has featured in films like ‘Aisha’ and ‘Queen’, wore a "rustic golden-cream" lehenga and an off-shoulder choli.

Talking about the creation here on Saturday night, Lisa said: "It is absolutely stunning, it's actually one of my favourite of his outfits that I have ever worn. Also, because of the fit, I feel the fit is more sexier, bohemian and light weight. It's also in a rustic, burnt out gold and cream which makes it a stunning wedding outfit."

The designer's showcase, 'Our Electic New World', features panelled veils, jackets, corsets kurtas, sarees, lehenga saris and lehenga-cholis, dhotis and sherwanis. Tahiliani said of the collection: "I want to make everything modern and light.

My theme is always about draping, technology, lightness, sophistication and understatement," he said, and added he "made his first sketch for this event in December".

The colour pallette varied from gold, ivory, jade, red, cobalt, soft blush, powder blue and black. The stage was decorated with big glittery balls and the screens showed a galaxy of stars with blue lights.

The models were seen in basic make-up but with bold lip colour, carrying the outfit made by the designer, who has styled the like of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty very effectively. The fashion gala, which began on August 7, will conclude on August 11 when designer Suneet Varma will showcase his latest collection called "Couture - A Love Story!".
