Bharti Airtel initiated a programme at their premises in Begumpet, on Monday, to encourage digital literacy and make people internet literate. The overall scope of the programme is to make internet central in the change process and prepare citizens for the future.


Over 1000 Airtel employees and associates in Hyderabad along with 1.25 lakh retailers and 3000 on-the-field executives pledged their support towards the cause of widespread internet awareness and spearheaded this movement as ‘internet ambassadors’ dedicating the entire day to make people internet literate.


The employees also engaged citizens on how to upgrade from existing 3G plans to 4G along with demo of swapping into a 4G SIM. Venkatesh Vijayraghavan, Chief Executive Officer, Bharti Airtel (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) flagged off this initiative from their office.
