Free Master Health Checkup Cards will also be presented on the occasion Dr P Ramesh Babu, chief cardiologist of the hospital said, “The angiogram done with iCT 256-Slice CT scanner helps assess the calcium score in the heart. The buildup of calcium plaque in the arteries is more dangerous than high blood pressure and cholesterol. The risk of heart attack can be analysed through CT angiogram.”

On symptoms of heart attack, he said, “It gives warning signals like unpleasant sensation in the chest area. Many people tend to ignore the warning signal taking it as an ordinary inflammation. If a patient is taken to hospital within 1 hour of suffering heart stroke, his chances of survival are very high.” Hospital consultant MC Das was also present at the event.
