Candid I-Day celebrations

The students of Candid Model School in Langer House celebrated the 69th Independence Day in a grand way, with fervour and gaiety. Wearing colourful dresses, the performance of the school children attracted many. Speaking on the occasion, the chairman S H Sunder Rao, described the children as ‘anchors’ for bright future of the nation.

The chief guest Colonel M Ananda Rao, commanding officer, NCC Battalion, hoisted the flag. The festivities were attended by the parents and locals as well. Ananda Rao reminded the children how thousands sacrificed their lives to achieve the freedom from British. He called upon the students to draw inspiration from the national leaders for bright future of the country.
