Fuelling the country for 60 years

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) celebrated Independence Day with exuberance at the ONGC Rajahmundry Asset. The event was laced with patriotic songs, cultural programme picture perfect guard of honour by the security and Kendriya Vidyalaya children.

Later, sporting events were conducted for the employees and competition winners from the school were felicitated. “In all the achievements of the nation, there is contribution of energy sector directly or indirectly and ONGC shares significantly in such achievements,” said DG Sanyal, Executive Director-Asset Manager.

“Six decades ago when the company was born, we laid the foundation of an oil independent nation and have been successfully unearthing the black gold that fuels the nation today,” he said. “Following the true sense of freedom and breaking away from the conventional manner of contributing to economy, besides its core business, the company has been passionately partnering with the progress of the regions where it is operating,” underscored Sanyal.
