Speaking on the occasion Mahesh Babu said,“Cycling is not only for pollution and environment protection but also for being fit and healthy; cycle riding is good for you. Independence Day is always special to me and this Independence Day is even more special because of 'Srimanthudu'”. D V Manohar, chairman, HBC, added, “Mahesh Babu rode a bicycle in ‘Srimanthudu’ and thereby promoted the cause of cycling.” The ‘Chak De India Ride’ was categorised into two viz., Mass Ride of 10 km and a Competitive Endurance Ride of 50 km. Thousands of cyclists from all walks of life participated in the event.
