Micromax launches Selfie phones at Rs 5,999. Micromax has launched not one but two selfie-focussed smartphones, namely the Canvas Selfie 2 priced at Rs 5,999 and the Canvas Selfie 3 whose price hasn’t been announced yet.

Micromax has launched not one but two selfie-focussed smartphones, namely the Canvas Selfie 2 priced at Rs 5,999 and the Canvas Selfie 3 whose price hasn’t been announced yet. While the Canvas Selfie 2 will start selling from 22 August, the Canvas Selfie 3 will start selling in the last week of August, before Rakshabandhan.

The Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 comes with a 5MP front as well as rear camera. It sports a 5-inch 854 x 480 pixel display with an IPS panel. It houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and has 8GB of storage. The Selfie 2 will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The 5MP front camera comes with OV5670 sensor and a 4-element lens whereas the 5MP rear camera comes with OV5648 sensor and 4-element lens. The Micromax Canvas Selfie 3 will be sporting an 8MP rear and 8MP front facing camera. It will come with a 4.8-inch AMOLED HD display.

Just like the Canvas Selfie 2, the Selfie 3 will also sport a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage space. The Canvas Selfie 2 will come with a 2,000mAh battery whereas the Canvas Selfie 3 will have a 2,300mAh battery. Both the phones will be available in multiple colours. The Selfie 3 will also come with a bluetooth enabled Selfie Stick.
