The Indian Photography Festival (IPF)-Hyderabad, a not-for-profit initiative of the Light Craft Foundation, along with the Government of Telangana is organising India’s newest international photography festival, which will be showcasing a wide range of photography across all genres; from portraits and landscape through photojournalism to fine-art, by emerging and legendary photographers from India and around the globe.

The first edition of the Indian Photography Festival is scheduled to be held at the State Gallery of Fine Arts, Jubilee Hills, from October 1 to 10

The Indian Photography Festival (IPF)-Hyderabad, a not-for-profit initiative of the Light Craft Foundation, along with the Government of Telangana is organising India’s newest international photography festival, which will be showcasing a wide range of photography across all genres; from portraits and landscape through photojournalism to fine-art, by emerging and legendary photographers from India and around the globe.


Festival director and commercial fashion photographer, Aquin Mathews, said, “The festival aims at congregating the greatest minds in the field of photography and showcasing the works of emerging and renowned photographers from across the world and brings them to India, at the same time establishing a global platform for learning through various events.”


The festival, which aims to create a space for creativity, debate, social interaction and reflection and give the visitors a more inclusive and engaging experience, will feature exhibitions, seminars, portfolio reviews, photography workshops, open studios and book launches.

Festival hubs include JNAFAU, Salarjung Museum, Rainbow Art Gallery, Muse Art Gallery, Shilparamam, State Museum, Taramati Baradari, Nabannoo, KBR Park, Lamakaan, Our Sacred Space, Alliance Francaise and Kalakriti Art Gallery. “We will be doing unconventional display methods and unique events to make the whole event exciting,” added Aquin.
