APASICON to begin today
APASICON to begin today. The eight APASICON (Association of Surgeons of India AP Chapter)-2015 themed, ‘New Horizons in Surgical Practice’, is being organised for the first time in Andhra Pradesh on August 21-23, at GSL Medical College and General Hospital, Rajanagram.
The eight APASICON (Association of Surgeons of India AP Chapter)-2015 themed, ‘New Horizons in Surgical Practice’, is being organised for the first time in Andhra Pradesh on August 21-23, at GSL Medical College and General Hospital, Rajanagram.
Over 1500 delegates are participating in this academic extravaganza. Eminent speakers from India and abroad will deliver lectures about contemporary surgical practice. Three surgical workshops are also being organised at the event. Plenary sessions, symposia and free paper presentation will form the core of the conference.
In addition, thirty odd patients have registered themselves for advanced Laproscopic, Bariatric, Oncological and Gynaecological surgeries and consented for live telecast of their operations.
Oraganising secretary of the conference, Dr Ganni Bhaskara Rao, said, “To encourage the postgraduate students in knowledge development and hone the skills of spot decisions, quiz programmes will be conducted on the first and third day.”
Health Minister, Dr Kamineni Srinivas, will be inaugurating the conference on August 22. Orations in honour by invited speakers, Dr Shanmukeswara Rao, Dr GV Rao, Dr Kompella Suryanarayana Murthy, Dr D Nageswara Reddy, Dr NBK Reddy, Dr T Subramayeswara Rao, Dr Asuri Harinath and Dr M Ramchandra Naidu will be presented.
