Mumbai based Sreesailam Pasupula is holding an exhibition of his works titled ‘An Odyssey – A Visual Journey’, at Goethe Zentrum, which began on Thursday. “I plan my journey by understanding the surroundings I visit. To understand and capture a unique photo it might take more than a month, as I need to understand the place and its culture.

I never capture images without understanding the place, its culture and people,” shares Sreesailam. The photographs are divided into five themes and every concept is charming. “My themes are ‘Faith’, ‘Travel’, ‘Portraits’, ‘People’ and ‘Fine Art’. I have exhibited these today,” states Sreesailam Speaking about his photography, he explains, “I am basically from Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad.

I shifted to Mumbai in 2010, to learn and upgrade my skills in photography, which is my passion.” “The little boy dressed as Lord Shiva and Krishna and eating sugar candy and my award-winning photograph of Rajasthani women are also part of the exhibits,” he adds.

He has covered the north side and is now planning to move towards the south and start his journey from Kerala. He loves every photo he clicks as he feels they are exceptional. “Photography is a language, which is a different form of expression.

It is a good scene as the more people use it, the more they will be introduced to different forms of expression,” he concludes. The exhibition will be on until September 4.
