Rich tributes paid to Andhra Kesari

The 143rd birth anniversary of ‘Andhra Kesari’ Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu was celebrated on a grand scale, on Sunday. Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao paid glowing tributes to the freedom fighter.

“Prakasam Pantulu played a key role in development of irrigation sector as the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh,” said Rao. He called upon youth to emulate the great man and strive for nation building.

Information and Public Relations Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy along with MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and MLC Buddha Venkanna paid floral tributes to the statue of ‘Andhra Kesari’ at the old government hospital.
