In the past centuries, rituals of worship were considered incomplete without a dance performance. Andhra Natyan has three types of dances, Aradhana Nrityam (Temple Dance), Asthana Nrityam (Court Dance) and Prabandha Nrityam (for general audience). Praising the documentary, Minister of Rural Development M Venkaiah Naidu said,


“In the kings’ time, arts were given major choice compared to present scenario. Nataraja Ramakrishna did great work for reviving Andhra Natyam. We must save these types of dances for the next generations. Combination of entertainment and knowledge is must for cinema.”


Vowing to revive the art form, Adviser, KV Ramana Chary, said, “I will try my best to revamp Andhra Natyam. This documentary helps the coming generations understand about the great dance.” Director K Raghavendra Rao, Industrialist KV Rao, Denduluri Padma Mohan, Karnati Navata, cine producer Ashwini Dutt, K Raghuram Raju, Kala Krishna and documentary director Meer also present.
