Lakshmi Thanmayi wins gold in Karate Nationals

Students of Sri Chaitanya Techno School excelled in the national level karate championship held in West Godavari district headquarters town. School principal KSS Madhav said V Lakshmi Thanmayi, a 5th standard student, won a gold medal in the junior category of the championship.

K Srihesh and V Sahasra got silver medals, while VAB Jaswanth Reddy, S Deviram Dheeraj, M Reshma and A Eshwar bagged bronzes. Karate Association of India deputy chairman Paramjit Singh presented medals to winners of the championship, in which students from 12 states participated. The medal winners were felicitated at a programme organised by the school, on Monday.
