Original compositions by city bands, live jamming sessions, plethora of genres, improv sessions—this and much more marked the mega multi genre gig, ‘Tree Huggers’ Casette Session 1’, at Houz of Blues, Jubilee Hills. The musically packed evening, which was organised by Tree Huggers’ Club, proved a fruitful attempt to revive the live music scene in Hyderabad.

The musically packed evening, which was organised by Tree Huggers’ Club, proved a fruitful attempt to revive the live music scene in Hyderabad.


City bands and solo artistes performed original compositions ranging from rock, pop, blues, jazz, fusion, classical, flamenco, and reggae genres. Upper Basement, the four piece hard rock band, brought alive the early metal and 80s rock character in their compositions.


Their catchy tunes and creative riffing left a lasting impression on music buffs. Other enchanting performances were by bands Harish Chandra Project, Songsmiths, Paradox Pulse and Last Known Surroundings and solo contemporary artiste Akram-ul-haq. Music magic apart, the event had an improv and barter sessions.
