Hyderabad Runners Society, under the initiative of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, has flagged-off a 36 hour run on treadmill by Arun Bharadwaj, India’s leading ultra marathoner at Hitex. Fitness enthusiasts and spectators arrived in huge numbers cheered the 46-year-old for his initiative.

Hyderabad Runners Society, under the initiative of Airtel Hyderabad Marathon, has flagged-off a 36 hour run on treadmill by Arun Bharadwaj, India’s leading ultra marathoner at Hitex. Fitness enthusiasts and spectators arrived in huge numbers cheered the 46-year-old for his initiative.


Bhardwaj, one of the first internationally acclaimed endurance racers from India, is planning to run a distance of more than 200 kms in 36 hours on a treadmill. No Indian till date has ever attempted this feat.


“I want to extend my contribution towards healthy lifestyle and sensitise people on the need to look after their health and stamina to be able to sustain in the present competitive world that requires a lot of endurance,” said Arun.
