KDSA celebrates National Sports Day
Many students enthusiastically took part in a rally organised by the Krishna District Sports Authority (KDSA), on Saturday to mark ‘National Sports Day’.

Youth Service, Sports and Culture Secretary G Jayalakshmi flagged off the rally at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium, in which several budding and veteran sportspersons also participated.
Speaking on the occasion, she exhorted students to lay equal emphasis on academics and sports for their holistic development. “Students should excel in their favourite sport by emulating hockey legend Dhyan Chand whose birth anniversary is celebrated as National Sports Day,” she said.
Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman PR Mohan, District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) P Ramakrishna, Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian and other officials also took part in the rally, which concluded at Benz Circle.
