25 finalists selected for HDPL S1

Twenty-five finalists have been selected for the first season of Hyderabad Dance Premiere League (HDPL), at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, on Sunday. Junior and senior dancers showcased their moves to reach the finals from the sixty semifinalists in solo, duet and group categories.

The national level competition, which is being organised by Rhythmzz Dance Academy, aims to boost the potential of dancers and offer a prospective professional dance career for them. “I’m happy for being selected for the finals. I worked hard. Thanks for the audience for support,” said Abhilash, winner of solo performer in senior level.

“From the past one month we worked hard for this moment. We are exciting about finals,” said finalists in group dance junior level, Ekalavya members. Earlier in July, the Academy conducted stage one, two and quarterfinals to filter the candidates for the semifinals. Founder of the Academy, Nitish Kumar thanked the 700 registered participants who made the event a huge success.

“Thank you and all the best to the finalists,” he said. Finals will be held on September 6 at St. Mary’s Degree College Auditorium.

Juniors-Solo: Tanya, Anushka, Ayush, Nikhileshwar, Jiya

Juniors-Group: D-Trix, Harika-Harini, Louis, Ekalavya, Colors Queen

Seniors-Solo: Shanmukh, Abhilash, Punit, Ashraf, Bharat

Seniors-Duet: Ashraf & Prashanth, Sujhata &Teja, Anjali & Ankitha, Balraj & Shwetha, Akhila & Kuldeep.
