A launchpad for divas
Young models from Hyderabad, aspiring to hop on to the big stage, were given a platform to participate in the Miss Diva 2015 contest at Hotel Marigold. It was wonderful day for models and judges at the auditions on Wednesday. From around a 100 entries, 80 young models from Hyderabad were shortlisted and best of six from the city were selected.
Young models from Hyderabad, aspiring to hop on to the big stage, were given a platform to participate in the Miss Diva 2015 contest at Hotel Marigold. It was wonderful day for models and judges at the auditions on Wednesday. From around a 100 entries, 80 young models from Hyderabad were shortlisted and best of six from the city were selected.
Shilpa Reddy and Rohit Khandelwal were the judges for this event. This event is also being held pan India.Fashion Designer Shilpa Reddy, who was one of the judges, says, “It was a wonderful day and we have selected 6 models from Hyderabad. The next event will take place at Bengaluru where the best models will be selected for the final show which will happen at Mumbai.
This is a huge platform for the models.”Hyderabad has also become a hotspot for fashion and many designers and models are being encouraged to explore themselves in the field. The contestants at Miss Diva displayed a perfect combination of beauty, style and dignity making the decision tough for the judges.
Mr India 2015 Rohit Kandelwal, who was one of the judges, said, “All the contestants performed really well and it was difficult to choose the best.” Based on two rounds the contestants were judged. The first round was the ramp walk and the second was the question answer section.
Even the height, weight, walking style and presentation skills of the contestants were checked upon. The event concluded with smiles on everyone’s faces.One of the six shortlisted contestant Clara expresses her happiness by saying, “The event was organised really well this year. Now am waiting to go to Bengaluru to give my best.”
