In what comes as music to the ears of young entrepreneurs and those already into dairy business, the Animal Husbandry Department, in collaboration with the Telangana and Progressive Dairy Farmers Association (PDFA) of Telangana, is organising South India’s largest ‘Dairy Show’ from Saturday to Monday at HITEX.

P S L N Rao, CEO of Active Group, told reporters on Wednesday that the fourth edition of the eagerly looked forward to event will educate the dairy farmers and entrepreneurs on the latest technological advancements. Bal Reddy, member of PDFA, said that the farmers were aware of aspects like healthy feeding of the cattle.


The show will educate them on improving the productivity and marketing aspects. The latest technology and advancements will be showcased during the three-day event, which has attracted 90 exhibitors.


High-yielding animal breed, indigenous breeds, mechanised milking equipments for animal farms, cleaning and hygiene equipments, farm level storage and processing equipments, kits, animal feeds, vaccines, banking & insurance, various government schemes, cold chain and chilling plant will shown here, informed Dr Jitender, president of PDFA.


They urged the government to ensure that all schemes that are beneficial for paddy farmers should also be made available to dairy farmers, as they were also into economic crisis and were in urgent need for getting bailed-out of it.
