Reddy has received an official communiqué from ICS honorary president Tony Le Kim Thuan on his selection for the Grandmaster Award. This was announced at a meeting organised by ‘Photo India’, on Friday.

The ICS had already sent an appreciation letter to TS Reddy hailing his rich contribution to the field of photography for the past two and half decades. He is the sixth Indian to receive the ICS Grandmaster Award, which will be presented to him in the US, in December.

TS Reddy has got a special recognition for his acquaintance with black and white pictures in the era dominated by colour photographs. He has been participating in the ICS, Photographic Society of America, Royal Photographic Society, The Federation Internationale De La Art Photography and other photography competitions since 1989.

He was awarded three fellowships and two Excellency Honours from the ICS affiliated societies in 2012. He also won many national and international awards. TS Reddy, Dr Sudha Nageswara Rao, Andhra Arts Academy general secretary Golla Narayana Rao and others spoke at the meeting.
