Live Rhinoplasty workshop in city

A first-of-its-kind live ‘International Rhinoplasty Workshop’ that is screening surgeries focused on correcting nose cosmetic deformities and functional breathing problems, began in city on Saturday. The workshop aims to train over 150 junior and senior ENT and Plastic Surgeons from all over India and abroad including awareness among post graduate students practicing ENT.

It is being organised by the department of ENT, Facial Plastic and Head and Neck Surgery, CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills. The hospital has identified patients by conducting a free ENT camp and screening for nose plastic surgery with deformities like saddle nose, flat nose, deviated nose to either side, twisted nose, bulbous tip of the nose, hump deformity of the nose and cleft lip nose.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr N Vishnu Swaroop Reddy says,”This live surgical workshop aims to create awareness to rectify nose problems both cosmetically to improve the shape of the nose and functionally to improve the breathing through the nose.” The workshop, which is conducted in the memory of late Dr VP Sood, who was known for conducting training workshops for ENT and Plastic Surgeons, is being conducted by internationally trained doctors from the UK, USA, Austria and Singapore.
