Eluru Legislator Badeti Kota Ramarao (Bujji) called upon the teachers to teach science in scientific method by using modern technology to create interest among the students. The statement came during the inaugural function of the district level ‘Inspire award Educational Science Fair 2015’ at St. Xavier High School on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said these educational and science fair are beneficial to unearth hidden talents of students. He said that the government is providing facilities to government schools to compete with private schools and students must utilise those.

Eluru Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan said that the teachers and parents should take responsibility for the future of the students. She said there are so many experienced teachers in Government schools and teaching qualitative education to the students.

She regretted that as there is no publicity like private schools, the talent was hidden. District Educational Officer D Madhusudana Rao said the fair is being conducted till September 10. “During the fair 270 experiments prepared by Students have been displayed,” he added.

Later the MLA, Mayor and DEO saw the oil palm clusters’ cutting machine, which was made by Motukuri Vineeth of Gangannagudem village, a former student of Sir CRR Engineering College. Explaining about his machine, Vineeth said that Rs 2 lakh was expended to manufacture the machine, which can complete seven acres of oil palm in five hours.
