Pearson Schools celebrate ‘TIRANGAA 2015’ across India

Up to 800 people from across 25 schools in India participated in the yearly event, ‘Tirangaa’. This year, the theme was ‘Saluting India’s Sports Heroes’. The fest featured a range of indoor and outdoor games for students and was organised by Vista School and Pearson School, Kompally, to bring awareness amongst youngsters about great Indian sportsmen so that they can draw inspiration from their lives.

The event, which is organised every year on Independence Day, provides a fun inter-school platform for children to compete and exhibit their skills.Director, Pearson Schools, Jairam Balaskrishnan said, “We believe in maintaining a balance between sports and academics and hence the theme of this year revolves around rekindling the ‘spirit of sports’.

Such inter-school fests not only provide students a challenging and enterprising learning environment, but also help them to relax and understand their true potential when it comes to physical activities. ” Padmashree Awardee and Hockey Player Mukesh, Hema Agarwal, one of the Directors for the Roots Educational Society and Naina Jaiswal, 14 year old table tennis national champion and others presided.
