Sumadhura honours Dr Das
Sumadhura honours Dr Das. Dr M C Das, an actor, director and management consultant was conferred Addepalli Venkata Subba Raju award, named after Sumadhura Kala Niketan’s former president at an event held at Veledandla Hanumantharaya Grandhalayam Hall on Sunday.

S Narasa Raju current president of Sumadhura, while addressing the gathering said that it was an honour for the organisation to present the award to Dr Das.
“Subba Raju is a great artiste as well as a philanthropist who started several welfare schemes under the aegis of Sumadhura Kala Niketan for the benefit of artistes. He added that Sumadhura has been conducting several welfare activities for the benefit of poor and needy artistes, and felt that Dr Das ardently performed his role.
Dr Das was also quite ecstatic to receive the award
Dr N Murali Krishna, Pannala Subrahmanya Bhattu, A Siva Reddy, Ramachandra Rao, Koganti Satyanarayana, K Subba Raju, TVS Anjaneya Raju and A Upendra Varma were also present at the occassion. At the event, the disciples of Hemanth Kumar and Padmasree presented a colourful dance ballet on Sri Krishna.
Hemanth, the choreographer composed the items in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Gujarathi Dandies, folk and Kuchipudi dance formats. About 30 artistes participated in this programme including eminent ones like Lekhya Bharani, Himaja, Nirmala, Malika, Priyanka, Shanmukha Priya, Lahari, Mehak and Nikhila.
