The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) has announced that it has become one of the world\'s largest not-for-profit healthcare networks with a membership base of 3,484 Member Institutions (MIs) including 2,306 healthcare centers, 622 small, medium and large hospitals and 203 social service centers.

The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) has announced that it has become one of the world's largest not-for-profit healthcare networks with a membership base of 3,484 Member Institutions (MIs) including 2,306 healthcare centers, 622 small, medium and large hospitals and 203 social service centers.


As part of its capacity building programme, CHAI is organising a two-day workshop which will conclude today. The themes of the workshop include ‘Programme Management’, ‘Laws Concerning Healthcare Institutions’, ‘Ethical, Legal and Human Dimensions of Nursing’ and ‘Spiritual Care and Role of Family With Special Emphasis on Palliative/Hospice Care’.


Rev. Dr Tomi Thomas, director general of CHAI, said, “The workshops are arranged to build the capacities of members to meet the demands of the current public health challenges and requirements.”
