Six renowned artistes will showcase their artwork that etches the tale of India at the art exhibition titled ‘Atrium Galleria’ at Inorbit Mall on Friday.

The three-day exhibition, which will be inaugurated by Namrata Shirodkar, showcases the work of Rangoli Garg, Anuradha Thakur, Satheesh Kanna, Deepa Nath, Vijit Pillai and Lona Logan, which interprets the artistes’ thoughts and inspiration of our country, its pride, history, aura and beauty of people.

Lona Logan, an Australian photographer will present ‘India Juxtapose’ - an amalgamation of vintage pictures of Indian people and places of an era gone by. Rangoli Garg on the other hand will present paintings depicting the Indian girl who plays and hides in her beautiful home as her potentials wait to be fully sought.

Anuradha Thakur, through her paintings, will revive the life of a tribal people through her works that have brought out simplicity, transparency and contentment in their life. Satheesh Kanna has depicted his internal and external experience through his works known as ‘The Banaras [Varanasi] Series of Paintings’, a five-year long journey through bold brush strokes.

Vijit Pillai photographs’ bring the artiste’s interpretation of his journey into the expanding realm of ‘New Media Art’ through the use of textures, filters, patterns and sophisticated techniques reproduced in exclusive or limited edition canvasses.

The exhibition will be on until September 13 and is open for public viewing. Besides this, there are other fun activities for kids like painting competition, clay modeling and live painting at the atrium of the mall.
