The students belonging to Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) were suspended for a semester after they reportedly beat up Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s (ABVP) campus president Susheel Kumar.
ASA however termed the suspension as hasty and pointed that the action was taken as there was a nexus between the university administration and right wing forces.
About 200 Ph.D protested on Thursday and demanded the immediate revocation of the suspension order.
