Talking to newsmen on Friday, Durga temple Executive Officer Ch Narasinga Rao said foolproof arrangements would be made for the 10-day festival, which draws lakhs of pilgrims from all over the country. “The Devasthanam will take all measures to ensure that the visiting pilgrims do not face any inconvenience during Dasara Mahotsavam,’’ the EO said.

The presiding deity will give Darshan to devotees in Bala Tripurasundari Devi Alankaram on October 14, Gayatri Devi Alankaram on October 15, Mahalakshmi Devi Alankaram on October 16, Annapurna Devi Alankaram on October 17, Lalita Tripurasundari Devi Alankaram on October 18, Saraswati Devi Alankaram on October 19, Durga Devi Alankaram on October 20, Mahishasura Mardini Alankaram on October 21 and Rajarajeswari Devi Alankaram on October 22.

The festivities will begin at the temple with Suprabhata Seva at 3 am every day. Devotees will be allowed to have Darshan of the Goddess from 9:30 am to 11 pm on the first day. “From October 14 to 22, the temple will be opened for Darshan from 3 am to 11 pm with a 45 minute break at 6:30 pm for the conduct of Mahanivedana and Pancha Harathi,” he said.
