Sridhar to make a short film on farmer suicides

In the wake of recent spate of suicides by farmers in Telangana, director Allani Sridhar, who made the critically acclaimed ‘Komaram Bheem’, will soon be making a short film on the issue. Sridhar wants to send across a message refraining farmers from resorting to this extreme step.

The director will also try and raise funds, which he is planning to donate to farmers across the State. “I am shocked to see suicide reports of farmers. Everyone should do their bit to the farmers as they are the ones who feed us,” said Sridhar. Noted technicians will be helping Sridhar to make the film.
