#AalasKaPedh in city. When it takes four years to compose a song and release it, what’s a band to do but name it ‘Aalas ka Pedh’? Maybe it was laziness, maybe it was procrastination.

When it takes four years to compose a song and release it, what’s a band to do but name it ‘Aalas ka Pedh’? Maybe it was laziness, maybe it was procrastination. Or, maybe it was the right timing for ‘The Local Train’ “buggy-ed” to the number one spot in the ‘Top 50 Rock Bands of India’ competition held by Sennheiser India with that number.

As the musical passengers revelled the arrival of the band at Hard Rock Café in Banjara Hills recently, CityTAB caught up with the members after their live performance. The group, which hails from Delhi, defines itself as an independent rock band with hit singles and edgy videos that got them over half a million hits on their YouTube channel.

Speaking on their love for music, bass player Ramit Mehra says, “Making music is a passion; this is what we do and we are up against everybody since we chose to pursue it as a career.”

Four youngsters Raman Negi (vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Para Thakur (guitarist), Ramit Mehra (bass) and Sahil Sarin (drummer) brought their explosive live act to the city, having performed at some of the most prestigious stages across the country.

The crowed moved in rhythm to their original compositions that included “Aaoge Tum Kabhi”, “Yeh Zindagi Hai”, “Bandey” and “Kaise Jiyum”. Commenting on their performances, Mehra says, “We do everything on our own, so it is all on us. Playing live, which we generally do, is a different ball game altogether.

There is a huge risk involved in the sense that people may or may not like our music we take this very seriously since we want to connect with people, reach out and do justice to them.”
