A latest addition to Café Coffee Day’s (CCD) menu comes in the wake of expanding its appeal as that “cool” go-to place for hangout over a cup of coffee and light bites. Five new savoury choices have been added starting at Rs 39 to the appeal of youth in the menu titled, ‘The High5 Menu’.
Drawing on the signature greeting of today’s youth, the menu offers fun, light and fast bites. First in the order is a classic ‘Cheese Croissant’ with the delight of cheese, coriander and garlic and flaky layers that make it a quick and tasty treat. Next up, is the appetising and buttery ‘Garlic Bread’.
Also making its debut is the ‘Veg Cutlet’, a crispy crunchy mixed vegetables and potato patty with the goodness of spices and pepper. And last but not the least; mouth-watering nachos join the pack in not one but two variants, ‘Mexican Red Hot Nachos’ and ‘Nachos with Red Bean and Salsa Cheese’.
The delectable bites are at the consumer’s fingertips as CCD has introduced a mode to place an order using hand gestures. Where one raised index finger means you are craving for a ‘Cheese Croissant’, two crossed fingers means it’s ‘Garlic Bread’ on your mind, a full fiver open and raised high means it is ‘Mexican Red Hot Nachos’ on your list and so on.
And if it is an emergency hunger pang, the ‘Hi5 Glove’ placed next to the tables with a pull-down side menu card ensures every hunger pang meets timely delivery. Speaking on the launch of the nibble-some menu, Bidisha Nagaraj, Group President Marketing, Coffee Day said, “Basis our periodic research, we felt the need to add some fun, light-bite options that can not only accompany our café beverages but also wow the taste buds of the youth.
All the five options pair up perfectly with any of our beverage offerings. These delectable delights are the perfect light bite when conversation is the key and accompaniments are not desired to be very filling.” The High5 Menu options are available across all CCD outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
