Online retailer Amazon.in has rolled out the Amazon Chai Cart in the city to spread awareness about the benefits of selling online and to introduce sellers to the specialised services that would help them sell more.

The chai carts will be stationed in popular markets including Dilsukhnagar, LB Nagar and Vanastalipuram today and Monda Market and Parklane on Wednesday.

Rohit Kulkarni, senior manager – new initiatives, Amazon India, said, "Through the chai cart, we wish to connect with thousands of sellers scattered around the city on the enormous ecommerce opportunity.

Sellers can seamlessly run their online as well as offline business through a suite of offerings and expand their reach, not just in India but also in the US and UK through the recently launched initiative Amazon global selling.”

Under this activity, Amazon will deploya three wheeler mobile cart called ‘Amazon Chai Cart’ to navigate in the city’s business districts and serve tea, cold water and lemon juice to business owners, sellers, retailers and SMEs in that area.

Each Amazon Chai Cart will have Amazon trained personnel who will have discussions and conversations with interested sellers on the process of selling online and introduce them to seller-specific services.
