Musuku SarithaMusuku Saritha, all of 17, is changing the very definition of being a model. Being deaf and dumb is no deterrent to this skilled and talented model, who is determined to grand stage her career.

Having started her career in 2012, she quickly went on to win the ‘Miss Deaf AP 2012’ title and has participated in the ‘Miss Deaf India’ in Mumbai along with 22 other models. She may have not won the national title, but she rose to fame.

Born to a poor family from Warangal, her father is a farmer and mother, a homemaker. Four out of six members in her family are deaf and dumb. But, that doesn’t stop this mighty family.

Saritha is winning beauty pageants and modelling to her heart’s desire in costumes designed by popular designers. What more could a girl want?

Saritha was always fascinated by the fashion world and dreamed to become a model and actress. She finished education from Little Flower High School for Deaf and Dumb in Warangal and Silver Jubilee College at ECIL in Hyderabad. She is adept in sign language and understands English through writing, too.

Taking inspiration from fashion shows on television, she participated in shows like ‘Tollywood Fashion Dream Show’, ‘Fashion Parade’, ‘Fashion Show Events Parties’ and ‘Miss Silent Beauty’. After winning the ‘Miss Deaf AP’ title, Tollywood beckoned Saritha.

She has acted in the short film ‘What Happened?’ and expresses desire to work with Manchu Manoj, Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun.

Despite receiving cold stares from her parents on her modelling dream, Saritha persevered with her brother’s support. She is currently staying in Hyderabad with him. “I am proud that I am dumb and deaf, I want people to support us instead of that they insult dumb and deaf people.

I wanted to show people that dumb people also have talent they can stand on their own legs,” she signs with determination. Recently she has taken part in ‘Mr &Miss Telangana’. Inspired by his sister, her brother is also acting in short films and participating in photo shoots.
