PM to lay foundation stone for new ISKCON temple. International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is planning to build a temple with several facilities for devotees at a cost of Rs.150 crores at Yadlapudi village in Guntur.

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is planning to build a temple with several facilities for devotees at a cost of Rs.150 crores at Yadlapudi village in Guntur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to be in Guntur to lay the foundation stone for the temple on Vijaya Dasami Day.

The state government has allotted 150 acres of land for the purpose. According to the ISKCON sources, an invitation had been extended to the Prime Minister Modi and in all likelihood the Prime Minister would lay the foundation stone for the ISKCON temple.

As part of the temple project a museum which will narrate the stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata through audio-visual presentations will also be part of the grand temple project.

The special feature of the temple project is an under-water meditation hall will also be built to give the meditating devotees a A feel of life under water. The project includes Krishna Theme Parks and ancient sciences narration in the vedas to visitors, according to ISKCON South India Chairman Sathya Gopinath Das in a press release.
