An enchanting vocal recital. Kumara Suryanarayana\'s vocal concert was organised by the Vijayawada Cultural Academy at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Tuesday.
Kumara Suryanarayana's vocal concert was organised by the Vijayawada Cultural Academy at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Tuesday. The programme commenced with rendering of Adi Shankaracharya’s Bhaja Govindam sloka by Sanagapalli Sree Keerthana, a sixth standard student of Atkinson School.

Suryanarayana started his vocal concert with a composition of Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna. He rendered `Paluku Tenala Talli’, `Jagadapu Chanavula Jatara’, `Brahma Kadigina Padamu’, `Adivo Alladivo Srihari Vasamu’, Pibare Rama Rasam’ and other Keerthanas during his enchanting vocal recital.
He was ably supported by Palaparthi Anjaneyulu on violin, M Vijayakumar on mridangam, Lanka Prabhakar on tabla and Ashok on keyboard. A Venkata Ratnam, first president of the cultural academy, was remembered on the occasion.
