Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has successfully test fired indigenously developed second generation, 2.8 km range, Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), Amogha - I at Babina Army Range in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. This is the first-ever design and developmental effort in respect of missiles by BDL. Amogha - I ATGMs would be offered to Army after due qualification and validation trials.

Two missiles were fired and both have hit the target placed at 2.6 km as well as 2.8 km respectively. Both the flights were without any deviation for its designed path profile and all design parameters have been met. CMD and Directors of BDL appreciated the efforts by R&D team in realising the ‘Make in India’ programme.
