Music concerts mark cultural body anniversary fete

The three-day second anniversary celebrations of Amma Samskruthika Kendram concluded on a grand note at Siva Rama Krishna Kshetram in the city on Monday. K Thushara Purnavalli presented a vocal concert on the concluding day.

She rendered `Govinda Govinda yani koluvare’, Swaminatha Paripalaya’, Koluvaithiva Ranga Sai’ and other Keerthanas which regaled music lovers. Her vocal concert was ably supported by K Subrahmanya Raju on violin and K Anil on mridangam.

On the first day of the anniversary celebrations, violin maestro Annavarapu Ramaswamy and his wife Kamala were felicitated. TKV Ramanujacharyulu presented a violin concert to mark the commencement of the fete.

Noted instrumentalist and musician Komanduri Seshadri was honoured on the second day, which was marked by Popuri Gowrinath's impressive vocal recital. Popuri Charumathi Pallavi, Parupalli Subbaraya Phalgun and M Hari Babu lent him instrumental music support on violin, mridangam and ghatam respectively.
