Repeated requests from residents nearby have fallen on deaf ears. Sudeer, a resident of Malakpet says, “The hospital staff vehicles are never towed away but if others park vehicles the traffic police is ready to take action.”

While relatives come to drop patients park their vehicles, the common refrain is ‘we will move out, it’s just for a few minutes’. The cars of doctors take a major chunk of space triggering traffic jams. “It is more than three years but the traffic police is not taking action,” rues Mallesh, a local.

“Special drives are launched to provide free-carriage way in other parts of the city, but we have never seen any such initiate here,” says Rekha, a software employee.
