Engineers told to help Make in India. Following the inauguration of the Institution of Engineers India (IEI) local centre at Bhimavaram SRKR Engineering College on Friday, Chairman LV Muralikrishna Reddy called upon students to be a part of the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ campaigns.

Following the inauguration of the Institution of Engineers India (IEI) local centre at Bhimavaram SRKR Engineering College on Friday, Chairman LV Muralikrishna Reddy called upon students to be a part of the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ campaigns.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that all the countries are eyeing on research in regard to engineering technology. “The Central Government, with the help of IEI, will extend cooperation to research in the fields of aqua, agriculture in Krishna and Godavari districts,” he added.
So far the IEI had a joint centre for the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and as it was bifurcated, the AP centre has been shifted to Andhra Pradesh and separate centre would be set up for Telangana, later. In addition, IEI centers would be opened in all the districts in the country by 2020.
Presiding over the meeting, the IEI AP State Centre Chairman I Satyanarayana Raju said that it was evident that the Civil Service officials of IAS mainly are from engineering community in the country. He called upon the engineers to submit research papers and continue their uninterrupted research on various topics.
Later the National Chairman LV. Muralikrishna Reddy appointed K Brahmaraju as Chairman of Local Centre of Bhimavaram and J Sudheer Kumar as honorary Secretary.
IEI Secretary Director General B Brahmareddy, IE Vijayawada Centre Chairman M Kamaraju, IE council Mentor K Venkata Subbayya, Honorary Secretary GV Srinivasulu, SRKR Engineering College Principal Dr G Pardha Saradhi Varma, IEI Bhimavaram Local Centre Chairman Dr K Brahmaraju, Secretary J Sudheer Kumar also addressed the gathering.
