The second edition of the ‘India Gadget Expo’ (IGE) is here with ‘Experiential Tech LED Tunnel’, virtual reality sets and a 30-minute Hackathon amidst other attractions, at HITEX Convention Centre.
The second edition of the ‘India Gadget Expo’ (IGE) is here with ‘Experiential Tech LED Tunnel’, virtual reality sets and a 30-minute Hackathon amidst other attractions, at HITEX Convention Centre.
IGE, which began on Friday, has over 100 stalls this year with companies like Canon, Micromax, Gionee, Panasonic, WDC, Motorola, BMW, and Mercedes displaying their evolving new technologies. Motorola for the first time will be launching the phones out of e-commerce platform allowing the customers the opportunity to touch and feel them.
Speaking about the expo Sanjeev Kumar, India Gadget Expo said, “This year we have witnessed that the number of stalls have tripled. Moving forward we plan to organise smaller version of similar events in other cities and promote innovation and technology development across the country.”
Besides the plethora of gadgets and gizmos, the ‘Startup Zone’ grabbed the attention of the visitors with over 50 enthusiastic innovators displaying their products for the first time. Coming attractions include the much awaited Gadget Guru Awards event on Saturday, which will be hosted by actress Neha Duphia and actor Rana Daggubatti.
In addition, there will be a series of seminars on engaging topics discussing the present trends and the future of gadgets and apps with eminent speakers like Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India and South Asia and President CEAMA, Akhilesh Tuteja, Partner and HOD – IT Advisory, KPMG, Gurmeet Singh – CEO Yahoo, Ashim Warsi - Head Samsung Mobiles, Arvind Vohra - Head, Gionee, Rishi Jaitley - Asia Head, Twitter, Anubhav Nayyar - Head, Viber, Vikas Saxena CEO Nimbuzz.
The 4-day event, which is expected to witness an enormous footfall of around 1 lakh visitors and participants across the world, was inaugurated on Friday by KT Ramarao, Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj, Telangana State, along with Shri Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India and South Asia, along with the stalwarts from the Technology and Gadget Industry.
