5,800 vehicles for Ganesh Nimarjanam

The State Government is making all arrangements for smooth conduct of Ganesh Nimarjan on September 27 , stated Sunil Sharma, principal secretary, transport department.

Speaking after a high-level review meeting at Secretariat on Tuesday, Sunil said 5,800 heavy vehicles are ready to be dispatched from the night of September 25.

Shapur, Shadnagar and Bhongir have also been identified for pooling heavy vehicles in addition to the existing ones. 60 Motor Vehicle inspectors and 60 police personnel would be dispatched with these vehicles.

The offices identified as vehicle issuing centers include Trimulgherry, Medchal, Chandrayangutta, Kukatpally, Ibrahimpatnam, Autonagar, Patancheru and Necklace Road.

A helpdesk on Tank Bund will give information about these vehicles.
