Online consent management system for industries

The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) has developed an Online Consent Management and Monitoring System (OCMMS). Industries and entrepreneurs would now be able to submit applications for consent online.

The government has also introduced TS-iPASS for speedy processing of applications.The OCMMS software is being launched on September 23 in which the zonal and regional officers would be taking part.

According to a press release from the board, software could be utilised by the industries for filing CFE/CFO applications online. Presently, the TSPCB is processing the consent applications (consent for establishment/consent for operation) for hazardous waste authorisation applications manually.

With the introduction of the online system, efficiency would increase, said an official. The OCMMS is already in use by PCBs of other states.

The software was developed by NIC, Delhi. The OCMMS enables alerts, notifications, online submission of applications, fee payment, clarifications, tracking of application and download of approvals.

OCMMS application is being launched with a demonstration and training to the representatives of industries and officials of the board to get familiar with the software.

The software is also provided with a manual for facilitating the user to file applications in a easier way informed a press release.
