Nacharam is a suburb located in Kapra municipality which his popular for the Industrial Development Park, shoe market, pharmaceutical plants, Info City, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

There is a good development of residential areas in Nacharam including Mayflower Park, Mayflower Heights, Shanti Gardens and Gulmohar Gardens.

A number of function halls like Noma Kalyana Vedika, VNR Gardens, ANR Gardens are established in the area.Prominent localities at Nacharam are Snehapuri Colony, Ambedkar Nagar, Baba Nagar, Yerrakunta, Durga Nagar, Hanumaan Nagar, Bapuji Nagar, HMT Nagar etc.

Education institutes in the area include Dr Syed Hussain Zaheer Memorial High School, Delhi Public School, Johnson Grammar School, Shankara Vidyalaya High School Noble School and ST Angles High School.

History

Nacharam was gifted by the VII Nizam to Syed Rasool (Syed Sahab) as he was the Razakar (soldier in VII Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan's Army). At that time it was part of Urs Jaagir Warangal. In the past villages were not valuable so they were included in the Jagirs.

K Mahipal Reddy, secretary, Nacharam Notified Municipal Industrial Area Service Society, said, “Industrial Park was established in 1967 spread over 700 acres.

After formation of the corporation, this estate was transferred in 1974 along with other Industrial Estates to APIIC Ltd (now known as TSIIC- IALA, Industrial Area Local Authorities).

To focus on civic functions and for further developments Nacharam Notified Municipal Industrial Area Service Society was formed in 1994 by APIIC Ltd.”

There are 459 units active units of which 10 are sick. Major factories are AP Foods, Laxmi Starch, GVK Bio-Sciences, United Breweries and Refineries Limited and many more others.

Problems

The underground drainage lines needs to be widened to prevent sewage overflow on roads and in factory premises and the drinking water facility needs to be improved.
