The L&TMRHL, the concessionaire executing the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) project was told on Thursday to take up parallel construction of both corridors I and corridor III structures so as to speed up the progress of this complicated interchange station and remove barricades at high density stretches.

The announcement came after the joint inspection of Metro Rail corridor III works in Ameerpet - Yousufguda- Jubilee Hills- Hitec City stretch by MD, HMR NVS Reddy along with Addl. Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Hyderabad, Jitender.

Sanctioning the work for covering the open nala near Sarathi studio, L&TMRHL engineers were advised to start it immediately to facilitate entry and exit points of corridor III portion of the station.

Other major decisions

Some of the major decisions taken after the inspection include formation of proper footpath along the compound wall of Sarathi Studio for pedestrian usage,

widening the carriageway along Yousufguda-Madhuranagar stretch, restoring the carriageway immediately between Madhuranagar and PJR statue in Yousufguda basti,

restore or relocate utilities to increase the carriageway for safety of commuters and improve the road as an alternative road from KVB stadium to Jubilee Hills Road No. 2 via Venkatagiri to facilitate free traffic movement.

The Addl. CP (Traffic) advised L&TMRHL to remove construction equipment as and when construction is completed especially at high density traffic points and increase the carriageway.

In addition, the HMR MD suggested L&TMRHL to have timelines mentioned clearly on the barricades to ensure that works are completed as per the agreed deadlines.

Inspecting the plans for location of individual pillars in Hitec City, NVS Reddy advised L&TMRHL engineers to change the location of some of the proposed pillars so as not to obstruct free flow of traffic in this important stretch between Hitec City and Raidurg.

Project Director L&TMRHL MP Naidu, Chief Engineer, HMR Md Ziauddin, other engineers and officers of HMR, L&TMRHL and traffic police department participated in the inspection.
