Plea to name Bukka as TDP MLC candidate

The Telugu Desam leaders of Ranga Reddy district have appealed to the party president and Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud to ensure allotment of the Legislative Council ticket under the local bodies quota to Bukka Venugopal,

who has been named as the TDP State secretary for the fourth time in the new organisation by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

In a representation to Goud, leaders Kodiganti Chandra Reddy, Nanavalla Kumar Yadav, Malchalam Mohan Rao, Sandanavelli Srinivas and M Rameswara Rao urged the party to allot the MLC ticket to Venugopal, in view of his services for the last 15 years.

They recalled that he had won as Narkuda MPTC in 2001 and worked twice as TDP Samshabad mandal president.The leaders called upon the MLA to recognise the services rendered by Venugopal to the party by backing his candidature for the Council elections.

They expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious if allotted the party ticket.
