Workshop on Bhadrachala Ramadasu Keertanas in progress

Alivelumanga Sarvayya Charitable Trust in collaboration with SCSE and Sri Chakra Cement recently conducted a workshop on Bhadrachala Ramadasu Keertanas at Keys High School.

Ever since its inception Alivelumanga Sarvayya Charitable Trust made a thrust on Bhaktha Ramadasu Sahityam (the poetry and songs of Ramdasu).

Nedraganti Krishna, Alivelumanga Sarvayya Charitable Trust, is the driving force of behind the workshop.Renowned musician Dr K Seshulatha Viswanath conducted the workshop in a befitting manner. She made the participants to sing each and every line twice and she asked the participants to sing with an emotive appeal too.

Many people actively participated in the seminar and enriched their renditions. All the keertans rendered in this workshop are tuned by Late Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, who made strenuous effort in tuning and popularising Ramadasu Sahityam.

The Navaratna Keertans “Adigo Bhadradri” (Varali), “Sri Rama Neenamamey”(Athana) and also new keeretans tuned by Nedunuri, “Kodanda Rama Kodandarama Maa Pahi Sriramaa” (Anandbhiravi) and some more popular numbers were being practiced in the daylong workshop.

Alielumanga Sarvayya Charitable Trust with the cooperation of Sri Bhadrachala Ramadasu Temple, Bhadrachalm, is conducting a monthly event titled ‘Punarvasu Festival’ at Bhadarachalam.

The trust is inviting musicians on voluntary basis by providing them accommodation at Bhadrachalam, primarily to popularise Ramadasu Krithis besides Thyagaraja and Annamayya works.
