In the midst of the isolated rains that crippled traffic, ‘Tribute Night’, at Houz of Blues, came as a relief to Hyderabadis over the weekend. Five bands performed and paid tributes to their icons.

In the midst of the isolated rains that crippled traffic, ‘Tribute Night’, at Houz of Blues, came as a relief to Hyderabadis over the weekend. Five bands performed and paid tributes to their icons.
“I have organised this event, so that all bands can give special tribute to their idols. We got good response from the crowd for this event,” says Girish, owner of Houz of Blues.
The audiences were seen tapping their feet to the numbers like “Stairway to heaven”, “Kashmir”, among many others. The eclectic evening saw bands giving tributes to the stalwarts of the genre.
A tribute to ‘Led Zeppelin’ was performed by Zepra; Purple Room dedicated the night to their icon ‘The Blues’; HC Project gave their renditions to ‘Jimi Hendrix’; Zu paid homage to ‘Deep Purple’ and Joel Sastry experimented with backing tracks on his guitar.
